Elias Salonen
Elias Salonen, 31, is a Finnish actor with an MA from the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki. He is known for his versatility and for portraying a wide range of very different characters.
Salonen played his first leading film role in Kalevala: The Story of Kullervo, based on Finland’s national epic, which premiered this year. For the role, he trained in sword fighting and blacksmithing. In addition, he has appeared in more than 40 screen roles, including leading roles in the series The Siege (Piiritys), Adults (Aikuiset), and Pasilan Myrkky – Manni.
At Finland’s official television awards, the Golden Venla Awards, Salonen won the award for Best Leading Actor in 2024 and has received three nominations between 2022 and 2026.
Salonen has also performed at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Sweden.
