Magdalena Sverlander Comédienne
In 2025 Magdalena will be starring on the big screen in the Scandinavian thriller Alone (Film i Dalarna), and seen in Jimmy Carr's feature film Fackham Hall with Damian Lewis and Thomasin McKenzie.
Currently seen in the in Swedish movie White Guilt with Ivar Forsling & Leif André. Magdalena plays the role of Valentina in Jason Bourne TV series TREADSTONE (Amazon Prime). She recently received a Best Actor nomination for the lead role of XYA in the BAFTA & BFI Network supported British drama DOWNTIME (Storm Pictures), at Women X Film Festival (UK).
Other TV and Film work includes: the lead role of Theresa Stenmark in the Nordic TV series THE CROWN WITNESS (RTL4/Strix Television), EGO (Filmlance), BLONDIE (Nordisk Film), BAFTA nominated SAMUEL-360 (Dazed Films).
Magdalena first received recognition and two Best Actor nominations for the lead role in the multiple award winning Swedish shortfilm WHEN TEARS HAVE FALLEN, (Film i Skåne) made from the team who created the Scandinavian TV Series THE BRIDGE. It first premiered at Gothenburg International Film Festival and then went on to receive more than twenty Official Selections and dozen awards world wide.
Stage work includes: THE LOST DAYS, (Union Theatre), POWERLESS (The Pleasance Theatre), THE MILLENNIALS (Southwark Playhouse). She co-founded theatre Underfoot Theatre Company upon her graduation from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and wrote, produced and performed in the play LIVING BETWEEN LIES to great success in England and Sweden (Stockholm's Theatre Festival in collaboration with Stockholm City Theatre and Teater Tre, Kings Head Theatre, Rialto Theatre, Camden Peoples Theatre, Rich Mix, chosen to be a part of PARTS - New Performing Art of Sweden and The Festival 45 - New Writing Festival).
Magdalena is a Swedish born, London based actress, bilingual in English and Swedish.
